Want to be on the Metro Police Citizen Review Board?

Clark County is looking for volunteers to serve on the 25-member Metro Police Citizen Review Board. The board reviews Internal Affairs investigations and complaints filed against Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department peace officers.

Applicants must be residents of unincorporated Clark County or the City of Las Vegas, cannot have any felony convictions, cannot be an elected official, and cannot be a peace officer or former peace officer employed by Metro or a close relative of a current or former officer.

Potential members must have a flexible schedule. Those selected to be members must complete two mandatory training sessions each year, attend the Citizen Police Academy, and go on a police ride-along. Applications will be accepted through August 30 for the three-year trem starting in January, 2012. Find one and more information here.
