Arizona Congressman Raul Grijalva on Immigration
AIR DATE: July 21, 2010
LISTEN TO M3U | DOWNLOAD MP3

Question: What politician asked people to boycott his own state? Answer: Raul Grijalva. The Arizona Congressman made headlines when he spoke out against SB 1070, the state's controversial immigration bill. He said deporting all illegal immigrants was "unrealistic" and "anyone who says otherwise is not living in the real world." Rep. Grijalva talks about why he called for a boycott, why progressives should push for immigration reform, and how he handles the death threats to his office.

Representative Raul Grijalva will be one of the speakers at Netroots Nation, a conference for progressive bloggers. The conference runs July 22-25 at the Rio Hotel and Casino.
